Role overview
Hands-on Operations Manager overseeing and optimizing day-to-day operations for a fast-growing eCommerce dropshipping startup.
Works closely with the Founder, CFO, Marketing, Payments, Finance, Customer Support, and external suppliers and partners.
Operations and fulfillment
- Manage daily activities from order placement through fulfillment and delivery; monitor order volumes, shipping, cancellations, refunds, and exceptions.
- Manage supplier and fulfillment relationships, performance, availability, pricing, lead times, quality, and service levels.
- Coordinate issues involving inventory shortages, delayed shipments, incorrect orders, product quality, and returns; support supplier onboarding and evaluation.
- Oversee order processing and inventory accuracy; identify supply risks and create controls to reduce errors, cancellations, and delays.
Coordination, reporting, and improvement
- Align promotions and campaigns with supplier capacity, inventory, and fulfillment; coordinate operational issues with Finance, Payments, and Customer Support.
- Track operational KPIs, prepare reports and dashboards for the CFO and Founder, analyze trends, and escalate critical issues.
- Build and improve workflows, SOPs, controls, systems, and scalable processes; lead operational projects.
- Maintain documentation and audit trails and identify operational, supplier, fulfillment, financial, and customer-impacting risks.
