Role Description
The Operations Lead is a full-time, on-site role based in Doha, Qatar.
This role oversees day-to-day logistics operations, ensuring smooth execution of intra-city deliveries, adherence to service-level agreements, and continuous improvement of processes.
Responsibilities include managing hubs and fleets, monitoring performance metrics such as on-time delivery and cost efficiency, and coordinating with cross-functional teams including technology, client success, and finance.
The Operations Lead will manage and coach on-ground teams, oversee shift planning and resource allocation, and resolve escalations to maintain service quality.
The role will also involve implementing standard operating procedures, supporting deployment of Oorjaa’s tech products, analyzing operational data, and preparing reports and insights for leadership.
Qualifications
- Strong operations management capabilities, including process optimization, resource planning, and performance tracking.
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, last-mile delivery, or transportation operations, preferably in a high-growth or tech-enabled environment.
- Data-driven mindset with proficiency in using spreadsheets, dashboards, and reporting tools to interpret operational metrics and drive decisions.
- Proven people leadership skills, including team supervision, shift management, training, and performance coaching.
- Effective stakeholder management and communication skills for collaborating with clients, internal teams, and on-ground staff.
- Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment, prioritize multiple tasks, and respond quickly to operational challenges.
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field; relevant certifications are an advantage.
- Familiarity with logistics technology platforms and basic understanding of routing, tracking, and delivery management systems is beneficial.
- Previous experience in the Middle East market or similar geography is a plus.
