EOG's Gulf States division in the UAE is hiring a contract Operations Geoscientist.
The role supports technical decision-making from planning through execution alongside a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Geosteer horizontal wells in real time to support optimal wellbore placement.
- Work with geologists, drilling engineers, reservoir engineers, and mud loggers.
- Interface with field personnel during operations.
- Interpret subsurface data, provide technical analysis, and make timely decisions.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Geology, Geophysics, Engineering, or a closely related field is required.
- Prior horizontal-well geosteering experience and oil and gas industry experience are preferred.
- Well planning, drilling rig operations, geo-steering, and mud logging experience or knowledge are a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
- Flexibility to work off-hours, nights, and weekends is required as needed.

The position will be filled at a level commensurate with the candidate's experience.
