Role Description

This full-time Operations Excellence Manager role is a hybrid position based in Abu Dhabi, with a mix of on-site work and some flexibility to work from home.

The Operations Excellence Manager will oversee and improve operational processes for the INTERGEO Expo & Conference, ensuring efficient planning, execution, and follow-up of events.

Daily responsibilities include mapping and optimizing workflows, monitoring key performance indicators, and coordinating cross-functional teams such as logistics, marketing, sales, and program management.

The role will involve developing and implementing standard operating procedures, identifying process gaps, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.

The Operations Excellence Manager will also support vendor and partner coordination, manage timelines and deliverables, and contribute to risk management and quality assurance for the event.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in operations excellence, process improvement, or operations management, ideally within events, conferences, exhibitions, or related industries.
  • Strong skills in process mapping, KPI development, and performance tracking, with the ability to translate data into actionable improvements.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional projects and coordinating with internal teams and external vendors or partners.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and time-management abilities, with a track record of managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured approach to diagnosing issues and proposing solutions.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work in a multicultural, international environment.
  • Comfort with digital tools and systems used for project management, collaboration, and reporting (e.g., MS Office, project management platforms, CRM or event management tools).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; relevant certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or project management are an advantage.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid setting in Abu Dhabi, including on-site presence during key planning phases and event days.
  • Professional proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
