Role Summary

The Freight Forwarding Executive is responsible for executing end-to-end air freight operations while actively supporting commercial objectives through service reliability, cost awareness, and customer satisfaction.

Beyond shipment execution, the role contributes to revenue protection, margin optimization, and customer retention, working closely with Sales, Pricing, and Network teams to ensure that operational decisions align with the 2026 commercial growth plan.

1) Operations & Execution

  • Manage import and export air freight shipments (commercial, aerospace, hi-tech,
  • and consumer cargo), ensuring on-time, compliant, and cost-effective movement.
  • Execute shipments in line with approved SOPs, carrier agreements, and customer
  • SLAs.
  • Prepare, review, and validate MAWB/HAWB, customs, airline, and regulatory
  • documentation, ensuring accuracy and audit readiness.
  • Track shipments proactively and provide timely, structured updates to customers,
  • airlines, and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with customs authorities, ground handlers, airlines, overseas agents, and
  • global offices to ensure seamless execution.

2) Commercial & Customer Alignment

  • Act as a customer-facing operations representative, ensuring service consistency and
  • professional communication.
  • Support the Sales and BD teams by translating customer requirements into
  • executable routing, service, and handling solutions.
  • Maintain strong cost awareness by selecting commercially viable routings,
  • minimizing re-handling, storage, penalties, and demurrage exposure.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling value-added services (priority uplift, charters,
  • special handling, time-critical solutions) in coordination with Sales.
  • Contribute to customer retention and repeat business through service quality and
  • issue prevention.

3) Compliance & Risk Control

  • Ensure full compliance with customs regulations, airline rules, trade controls, and
  • internal compliance frameworks.
  • Escalate operational, commercial, or compliance risks proactively to Supervisors and
  • Management.
  • Support internal audits, SOP enhancements, and process improvements aligned with
  • business scale-up plans.

4) Continuous Improvement

  • Support operational readiness for new lanes, customers, and verticals introduced
  • under the 2026 plan.
  • Participate in workflow optimization to improve turnaround time, cost control, and
  • service reliability.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support business growth and operational
  • resilience.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Undergraduate degree in any discipline.
  • 0-2 years&experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or aviation-related operations.
  • Exposure to commercial air freight operations is an advantage.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, revenue-sensitive environment with multiple
  • concurrent shipments.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks under time pressure.
  • Problem-solving mindset with escalation discipline.
  • Team-oriented approach across Sales, Ops, and Network teams.

2) Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with freight management systems and airline portals.
  • Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or operational dashboards is a plus.
