Operations Analyst, Production Support

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Monitor production batch flows across z/OS, VSE, HP, UNIX, Windows, and iSeries using ZEKE and MVS/ISPF.
• Identify and resolve production problems with appropriate support teams; review errors and recommend permanent solutions.
• Implement application changes, verify results, maintain the JIRA shift report and other documents, and support assigned projects.
• Help maintain service availability according to client expectations and service-level agreements.
• Use ZEKE, ZEBB, MVS, ISPF, IMS, DB2, OMS, OnDemand, OMVS, CICS, ServiceNow, and Connect: Direct.

Required qualifications

• Undergraduate degree with an IT background; change-management experience in complex, high-request programs is ideal.
• Strong written, oral, and presentation communication skills and ability to assess stakeholder and project communication needs.
• Strong organizational and time-management capabilities.
• Able to work onsite in a 7x24x365 environment, rotating 8- or 12-hour shifts and on-call schedules, including rotating weekends and holidays.
• Deadline-driven and results-oriented, able to maintain quality across multiple tasks and deadlines.

Nice to have

• JCL and mainframe computing experience.
• Programming or coding experience in one or more listed technologies, including COBOL, REXX, Angular, React/Vue.js, VBA, C#, C++, Node.js, Active Directory, Elastic Search, or Windows Servers.
• Postsecondary degree majoring in Computer Science, Engineering, or Technology; rotating-shift experience.

Workplace and schedule

• The role requires onsite work in Toronto.
• Work includes rotating shifts, on-call coverage, weekends, and holidays.
