We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Analyst to support the back-office operations of our metals trading group.

This role is critical in ensuring the accurate execution, documentation, and reconciliation of trading activities while coordinating closely with internal teams, external partners, and regional and global colleagues.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, operational excellence, and the ability to manage high-value transactions in a fast-paced trading environment.

The Following Role Awaits You

  • Trade & System Operations: Assist traders with day-to-day operations, including trade processing using SAP. Confirm trades and maintain accurate transaction records. Maintain daily fixing, futures, and spot prices in internal systems. Maintain monthly contracts in coordination with traders.
  • Shipping & Logistics Coordination: Arrange safe, secure, and timely physical shipments of high-value metals. Coordinate shipment schedules with suppliers and customers. Advise traders on optimal shipment practices. Communicate shipment statuses and arrival schedules to traders and customers. Distribute weekly shipment alert reports
  • Customer & Counterparty Support: Assist customers with shipments, confirmations, and payment inquiries. Serve as a key liaison between internal teams and external/global stakeholders.
  • Reconciliation and Reporting: Reconcile pool/lease accounts and confirmations with customers and affiliates. Create and manage pool account transfers. Perform daily reconciliation of futures trades and positions. Conduct monthly reconciliation of open and closed futures positions. Validate daily margin requirements with brokers
  • Financial & Administrative Support: Assist Supervisor with daily cash requirements. Review and approve vendor invoices. Maintain metal specifications and certificates of conformance in alignment with customer requirements.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with insurance, customs, and regulatory requirements. Maintain and update customs reconciliation files. Understand and support customs clearance processes.

Your Profile

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in trade operations, trade support, or trade logistics (commodities or metals preferred)
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience in commodities trading, metals, or financial services is preferred.
  • Knowledge of futures trading and margin processes is preferred.
  • Familiarity with international shipping and customs procedures
