Role overview

The Operations Analyst supports day-to-day business operations and helps improve how the team works.

This is an analytics and operations support role focused on accuracy, problem solving, and supporting informed decisions; it is not a sales role.

The analyst works with operations, finance, compliance, and technology teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Review daily operational reports and monitor transaction volume, processing time, pending cases, and operational errors.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze internal system data to identify trends, discrepancies, and recurring issues.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports for the operations management team.
  • Investigate transaction discrepancies, reconciliation issues, and processing delays with finance and payments operations teams.
  • Track operational events, follow up with departments until issues are resolved, and maintain accurate records, spreadsheets, dashboards, and documentation.
  • Update standard operating procedures, improve workflows, and support implementation of internal tools, reporting systems, and process changes.
  • Coordinate with compliance and risk teams when issues require further review; monitor incomplete tasks and escalate significant issues.
  • Track results and performance over time to evaluate operational improvements.
  • Review reports, investigate unexpected outcomes, document findings, raise questions when information is unclear, and communicate promptly with colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, accounting, data analytics, or a related field.
  • 3–6 years of experience in operations, business analytics, financial services, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.
  • Experience in fintech, digital payments, financial services, or technology companies is preferred.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or other reporting tools is preferred.
  • Experience in transaction monitoring, payment reconciliation, or operational reporting is preferred.
  • Able to investigate discrepancies, communicate findings clearly, manage multiple deadlines, work independently, and collaborate with remote teams.

Compensation

  • The posting lists a base salary of $150,000–$200,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.

Benefits

  • Benefits listed include medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid leave, company holidays, a retirement savings plan subject to eligibility, and career development opportunities.
  • Additional listed benefits include a 401(k), health savings account, life insurance, on-site gym, paid parental leave, paid time off, and stock options.
