Operations Administrator
Role Overview
The Operations Administrator provides day-to-day administrative and customer service support for our Vancouver Island transportation operation.
Your work will involve a combination of operational administration, customer communication, order and system updates, reporting, and delivery documentation. You’ll manage many of your regular responsibilities independently while working with the Operations Manager and the broader team when exceptions or unusual situations arise.
This isn’t a traditional desk job where every day looks exactly the same. Transportation is a fast-moving environment, and priorities can change throughout the day as deliveries are completed, customers need information, or operational issues arise.
Your day will typically involve:
Processing and maintaining delivery and transportation documentation
Entering and updating orders and operational information
Completing shipment and delivery confirmations
Communicating delivery updates, delays, and service issues
Responding to customer and internal operational inquiries
Preparing recurring reports and customer-specific information
Reviewing information for accuracy and following up on missing or incomplete details
Coordinating information between Operations, Drivers, Customer Service, Warehouse, Finance, and other teams
