Summary
We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager who will be responsible for the Purchasing (P2P cycle) by navigating the SCM challenges of perishable & lean inventories - amidst the demanding stakeholders, large vendor base, & rapidly changing ambitious work environment Also to ensure that the quality of goods received is as per the requirement and the purchase are done at the fastest way of fulfilment through innovative ideas of managing staggered deliveries in resilience to operational expectations.
Key Responsibilities
· Maintaining relationships with suppliers while continually scouting for additional vendors.
· Evaluating spending operations while seeking ways to improve and enhance the quality of products purchased, Responsible for Q & D deliverables.
DIFOT% would be a key result area and the timeliness of deliveries.
· Communicating with management regularly regarding the efficient flow of goods and services affecting production.
· Conducting analyses and setting benchmarks for improvement.
· Risk management procedures to mitigate losses in the event of product shortages.
· Supervising a purchasing team and delegating tasks across departments when necessary.
· Working closely with the company Inventory & Planning department to make sure Supply chain is smooth & cost effective.
Coordinating between AP & vendor teams for smooth payment cycle and account reconciliations.
· Actively supporting Inventory management, planning and forecasting for the replenishment & supply chain strategies
· Unlocking values from tail spend management.
· Oversee and guide FM/Admin team for key non-BOM projects.
Review for saving potentials with TCO mindset and steer effective negotiation
Job Requirements & Skills
· Knowledge of purchasing in GCC.
· Sound knowledge of international logistic/freight forwarding & supply chain channels.
· The incumbent works with a high degree of independence in performing his duties.
· Required to be a proficient in Excel, data analysis, reporting, tools of computer etc.
· Must also function well in a team environment and have the ability to work well under pressure.
· An experienced tactical buyer with commercial acumen to understand business needs and identify opportunities to support them through procurement.
· Able to Qualify strategies into tactical plans which can give better results Create and maintain accurate and detailed reports e.g - Supply Performance Management.
· Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
· Ability to make decisions in accordance with responsibilities
· Zeal of round the clock availability to support and mentor team of portfolio buyers.
