Operation Manager- Medical Coding (RCM)

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Manage coding teams, monitor productivity, and ensure accurate, compliant coding practices.
• Implement and refine RCM processes and coordinate with billing and finance teams.
• Track KPIs to optimize claim submission, denial management, and reimbursement.
• Develop and enforce policies and procedures; support training and quality assurance.
• Work with senior leadership to improve workflows and maintain regulatory and payer compliance.
• Resolve operational issues, prepare reports, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated medical coding operations and RCM experience, including claim processing, denial handling, and reimbursement optimization.
• Strong team leadership, supervision, performance monitoring, and coaching skills.
• Knowledge of healthcare billing, payer rules, and relevant regulatory compliance.
• Analytical and problem-solving ability, with experience using data and metrics to improve outcomes.
• Professional communication and collaboration skills across clinical, finance, and administrative teams.
• Proficiency with healthcare information systems and RCM software; comfort with spreadsheets and reporting tools.
• Medical coding or RCM certification and a related degree are highly beneficial.
• Able to work on-site in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail.
