Job Description
We are looking for an experienced **Sea Freight Operations Manager** to oversee and manage all ocean freight import and export operations.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling end-to-end shipment processes, leading a team, ensuring compliance, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and carriers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily sea freight operations, including FCL and LCL shipments
- Oversee the complete shipping process from booking to final delivery
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation (Bill of Lading, invoices, packing lists, etc.)
- Track shipments and resolve delays, demurrage, and detention issues
- Lead and supervise the operations team, set KPIs, and monitor performance
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, shipping lines, and overseas agents
- Negotiate freight rates and service contracts with carriers and vendors
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements
- Coordinate with customs brokers and port authorities for smooth clearance
- Monitor operational costs and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Prepare reports on shipment performance and KPIs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sea freight operations
- At least 2 years of experience in a managerial role
- Strong knowledge of international shipping, Incoterms, and customs regulations
- Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
- Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: AED4,500.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
