Onshore Senior Instrumentation Commissioning Engineer

Location: Dubai

Responsibilities

• Act as the lead contact for all instrumentation commissioning activities across multidisciplinary project teams.
• Prepare and execute commissioning plans, testing procedures, and schedules for instrumentation and control systems.
• Contribute technical expertise during the design stage to ensure commissioning requirements are effectively incorporated.
• Support Mechanical Completion activities, including preparation of philosophies, procedures, inspection records, and test documentation.
• Develop commissioning methodologies, procedures, and system handover documentation aligned with project objectives.
• Liaise with engineering, construction, and operations teams to facilitate smooth transition from project completion to operational readiness.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve complex instrumentation and control issues during pre-commissioning and commissioning stages.
• Supervise calibration, loop testing, functional checks, and operational performance validation of instrumentation systems.
• Maintain compliance with HSE policies, quality standards, and operational excellence throughout all commissioning activities.

Requirements

• Higher National Certificate (HNC) / Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of diversified experience in instrumentation engineering covering design, installation, hook-up, and commissioning activities.
• Strong familiarity with oil and gas industry standards, specifications, and international codes, including equipment certification requirements.
• Proven hands-on experience in instrumentation and control systems commissioning in live project environments.
• Practical exposure to Mechanical Completion, Pre-Commissioning, and Commissioning phases across projects.
