Schedule and Pay
- Full-time schedule is 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Hourly rate is $23.12 to $25.61.
The Bancroft School
The Bancroft School provides education and therapeutic services to exceptional students in Mountainside, New Jersey.
The program supports students with autism through academics, daily living skills, social skills, enrichment activities, and water safety instruction.
Responsibilities
- Assist with classroom curriculum, individualized lesson plans, activities, and IEP goals.
- Help maintain an orderly classroom and guide students toward socially appropriate behavior.
- Assist with classroom equipment and materials and recommend supplies or curriculum materials.
- Track student behavior, collect data, perform calculations, and create graphical illustrations for staff review.
- Support student behavior management and report safety hazards or property damage to the teacher.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with at least three years of direct support experience.
- Educational or classroom-based support experience is preferred.
- A bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus but is not required.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is strongly preferred.
