Role and duties

• Own end-to-end deployment, integration, and validation of critical systems.
• Install, configure, and validate Thales operating systems and subsystems at customer sites.
• Integrate six to eight subsystems and conduct integration tests, performance assessments, and security checks.
• Troubleshoot Linux/Unix, Windows, and virtualized environments, including VMware and Proxmox.
• Use Wireshark, Zabbix, Python, Shell, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines, and Git for diagnostics and deployment automation.
• Automate system administration and use test and measurement tools.
• Coordinate with technical teams to resolve issues and ensure system readiness.
• Prepare test reports, risk assessments, and knowledge-sharing materials; uphold OHSE policies.

Experience and eligibility

• At least 2 years integrating complex software-centric real-time systems.
• Linux/Unix expertise, including VMware, SNMP, and RSYSLOG, plus Windows administration.
• Python or Shell scripting and automation experience with Ansible and Jenkins.
• Network fundamentals including TCP/IP, UDP, and SNMP, plus debugging tools.
• Experience with C++, Java, or Go is listed as an alternative qualification.
• AI-driven automation familiarity is highly regarded.
• Strong communication and collaborative problem-solving skills; domestic travel is mandatory.
• Australian citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain an appropriate Defence security clearance are required.

Work arrangement

• Permanent, full-time position involving regular travel across Australia to deploy and integrate subsystems at customer sites.
