A **Customs Clearance Specialist** works in logistics/shipping companies (like freight forwarders, warehouses, or companies such as Al-Faisal Logistics).
Their main job is to make sure goods legally enter or leave a country without delays or fines.
Main responsibilities
Typical duties include:
Prepare documents
Commercial invoices
Packing lists
Bills of lading
Certificates of origin
Handle customs clearance
Submit documents to customs authorities
Process import/export shipments
Classify goods
Use HS codes (Harmonized System)
Calculate duties, VAT, and taxes
Coordinate with stakeholders
Shipping lines, freight forwarders, ports, and clients
Government/customs officials
Ensure compliance
Follow Qatar customs laws and international trade rules
Avoid penalties or shipment delays
Track shipments
Monitor clearance status
Solve problems if shipments are stuck
Maintain records
Keep accurate documentation for audits and reporting.
