On Site Application Engineer - Automative Industry

Role overview

Application and process support

• Support automotive adhesive and bonding applications and their integration into manufacturing processes.
• Monitor temperature, pressure, dispensing accuracy, curing conditions, bonding quality, and other critical process parameters.
• Troubleshoot adhesive, bonding, equipment, and manufacturing-process issues; conduct root cause analysis and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
• Support product trials, application validations, process improvements, and new bonding technology introductions.

Customer and internal coordination

• Coordinate with production, quality, maintenance, and process engineering teams to ensure application quality, process reliability, and compliance.
• Act as the technical liaison between Henkel and the customer and maintain relationships with engineering, production, quality, and plant management stakeholders.
• Prepare technical reports, performance assessments, troubleshooting records, corrective action plans, and project updates.
• Coordinate with Henkel application engineering, technical service, sales, and product development teams.

Safety and travel

• Follow applicable health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements at the customer facility.
• Occasional travel may be needed for technical training, meetings, or support at other customer locations.

Experience and technical qualifications

• At least 2–3 years of hands-on automotive manufacturing experience, preferably in production, process engineering, application engineering, or technical support.
• Experience in an automotive manufacturing plant and understanding of production processes, quality standards, and operational requirements.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills; able to read technical specifications, engineering drawings, process parameters, and production data.
• Knowledge of industrial adhesives, bonding technologies, surface treatments, or automotive assembly processes is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with automotive quality standards, continuous improvement methods, and manufacturing best practices is desirable.

Communication and workplace qualifications

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer relationship skills; able to collaborate cross-functionally and work independently in a customer-facing facility.
• Fluent English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
• Willing to work full-time at the customer's Jeddah manufacturing facility and travel occasionally for work.
