On Call Tow Operator

Qualifications

• Must reside within 10 minutes of McPherson.
• Must be available to respond during assigned on-call shifts and report to the shop within 15 minutes of dispatch notification.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid CDL with acceptable driving record required.
• Ability to pass DOT physical examination and maintain medical certification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain any required certifications and endorsements.
• Ability to safely operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work evenings, overnight hours, weekends, holidays, and rotating on-call schedules.
• Physical Requirements
• Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to bend, kneel, climb, crouch, and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to safely enter and exit commercial vehicles multiple times throughout a shift.
• Ability to work around traffic, accident scenes, and other potentially hazardous environments while maintaining safety standards.
