Odoo Functional Consultant

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Analyze client requirements and translate them into ERP solutions; lead implementation from requirements gathering through post-implementation support.
• Configure ERP modules for business requirements and industry-specific processes.
• Handle finance requirements including GL, AP, AR, invoicing, payments, bank reconciliation, taxation, and financial reporting.
• Map accounting processes into ERP workflows and support Accounting/Finance, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, CRM, HR, Project, and other modules.
• Conduct requirements gathering, process analysis, gap analysis, and process mapping.
• Prepare functional specifications, process documentation, user manuals, and implementation documents.
• Conduct client meetings, demonstrations, user training, workshops, and knowledge-transfer sessions.
• Coordinate with technical teams on customizations, integrations, and functional requirements.
• Perform functional and integration testing, UAT, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Support data migration, master data preparation, configuration, deployment, go-live, and post-implementation support.
• Advise clients on ERP best practices, process improvement, and effective use of functionality.
• Participate in presales analysis, demonstrations, and proposal preparation when required; manage multiple client deliverables and maintain client relationships.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience in Odoo ERP functional consulting, implementation, or functional business analysis.
• Good knowledge of accounting and finance processes and other core ERP modules.
• Strong understanding of functional implementation.
• Hands-on experience with one or more ERP platforms such as Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Sage, or Oracle ERP is encouraged.
