ODM Project Specialist | Product Development Coordinator

Role overview

Project and product development

• Coordinate ODM projects from customer requirements through design, validation, and production launch.
• Document customer specifications, functional expectations, and commercial objectives; translate concepts into practical product designs with designers and engineers.
• Plan schedules, milestones, deliverables, resources, and cross-functional activities; monitor progress, approvals, technical issues, and commitments.
• Coordinate concept reviews, feasibility assessments, prototypes, samples, testing, customer evaluations, and pre-production validation.
• Maintain product specifications, drawings, bills of materials, sample versions, and design changes; communicate approved engineering changes.
• Coordinate suppliers, materials, components, manufacturing capacity, lead times, tooling, molds, fixtures, and packaging needs.
• Support cost estimates and optimization; coordinate quality criteria, inspections, testing, verification, reliability assessments, corrective actions, and risk reviews.
• Confirm production readiness and align manufacturing schedules with forecasts and delivery commitments.
• Communicate status, risks, schedule changes, and decisions; prepare reports, meeting minutes, action trackers, and launch documentation.
• Support customer presentations, product demonstrations, packaging, labeling, user documentation, compliance coordination, and post-launch improvements where applicable.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, Product Development, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in ODM project coordination, product development, manufacturing operations, or project management.
• Understanding of ODM and product development stages, manufacturing processes, material selection, sourcing, and production feasibility.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional projects and prototypes, samples, design reviews, customer approvals, and pre-production validation.
• Ability to interpret specifications, technical drawings, bills of materials, and product development documentation.
• Strong project management, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, negotiation, coordination, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and project tracking tools.
• ERP, PLM, project management, or product data management systems familiarity is advantageous; engineering change management and document version control familiarity is beneficial.
• Product safety, certification, and regulatory knowledge is an advantage; manufacturing-sector experience is preferred.
• Able to manage multiple projects, changing priorities, and tight schedules; communicate with overseas customers and international manufacturing partners.
