O&M and Performance Director – Major Water & Wastewater Infrastructure Programme Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
We are supporting a major water and wastewater operations, maintenance, and management contract in the Western Region of Saudi Arabia.
The project covers Jeddah, Makkah, Taif, and surrounding areas, serving a total population of approximately 8.9 million people.
The programme is focused on improving the efficiency, reliability, and performance of water and wastewater services, while supporting world-class standards in operations, maintenance, customer service, asset management, and water quality compliance.
We are currently looking for an experienced
O&M and Performance Director
- to lead technical processes related to water and wastewater network performance improvement, water quality monitoring, operational support, and control centre activities.
- 🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Lead network performance improvement initiatives and develop NRW strategies
- Provide technical support to operational teams across Jeddah, Makkah, and Taif
- Monitor technical KPIs and propose improvement actions to achieve contractual targets
- Oversee laboratory operations, water quality monitoring, and compliance with local regulations and international standards
- Support laboratory accreditation, safety plans, maintenance manuals, and SOP improvements
- Coordinate O&M support projects in collaboration with city-based operational teams
- Design and deploy emergency response and business continuity plans
- Support works planning and review project designs from an operational perspective
- Monitor Operations Control Centre activities related to O&M and customer services
- Provide guidance on incident response, emergency procedures, and mitigation strategies
- Analyse operational data to optimise network performance, workload, and service delivery
- 🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil, Hydraulic, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- 15+ years of experience in Water & Wastewater Operations and Maintenance
- Minimum 5 years in a managerial or senior leadership role
- Strong experience with NRW strategies and network performance improvement
- Knowledge of water quality monitoring, laboratories, and regulatory compliance
- Project management experience
- Strong leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
- English is mandatory \| Arabic is a strong advantage
