Key Responsibilities
- **Equipment Operation:** Set up, operate, and monitor roasting, cooling, and seasoning equipment. Control variables like temperature, airflow, drum speed, and roasting time.
- **Flavor & Profile Development:** Create and execute specific roasting curves to achieve the ideal color, aroma, and crunch for various nuts and seeds.
- **Quality Assurance:** Conduct sensory testing (taste, sight, smell) and technical checks (moisture levels, density) to ensure every batch meets brand standards.
- **Seasoning & Coatings:** Apply glazes, salts, spices, or toffee coatings accurately using commercial tumbler and flavoring equipment.
- **Food Safety Compliance:** Adhere to global food safety standards like HACCP, executing proper pasteurization protocols and maintaining strict sanitation of the workspace.
- **Equipment Maintenance:** Perform routine pre-operation checks, basic repairs, and preventive maintenance on roasting and processing machinery.
Core Requirements & Skills
- **Sensory Acuity:** A highly refined palate to detect roasting defects, bitterness, and optimal flavor development.
- **Technical Knowledge:** Understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and how different seed/nut densities react to heat
- **Production Focus:** Capacity to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while keeping meticulous logs of batch data, times, and yields.
- **Experience:** Typically requires 1 to 3+ years working in food production, commercial coffee roasting, or specialty snack manufacturing.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: QAR3,000.00 - QAR5,000.00 per month
