Role overview

Leadership and operations

• Develop operational strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with hospital objectives and healthcare standards.
• Oversee nursing services, patient care delivery, staffing, and daily hospital operations.
• Manage staffing levels, workforce planning, staff performance, training, and professional development.
• Coordinate doctors, nurses, department heads, and administrative teams to ensure effective service delivery.
• Monitor performance indicators, patient satisfaction, service quality, and operational efficiency.
• Implement improvements to patient experience, clinical outcomes, and healthcare service standards.

Compliance and quality

• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, licensing requirements, accreditation standards, and clinical governance policies.
• Monitor patient safety, infection prevention, clinical quality, and risk management.
• Review operational reports, investigate incidents, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, inspections, accreditation activities, and regulatory assessments.
• Establish and maintain standard operating procedures to promote consistency and efficiency.

Resources and improvement

• Oversee departmental budgets, resource allocation, cost control, and operational expenditure.
• Ensure effective utilization of medical equipment, facilities, supplies, and hospital resources.
• Manage patient complaints, service escalations, and operational issues professionally and promptly.
• Support hospital expansion, service development, digital transformation, and continuous improvement.
• Foster collaboration across clinical, administrative, and support departments; prepare management reports and recommendations.
• Promote ethical practices, confidentiality, workplace safety, and accountability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Management, Hospital Administration, or a related field; a relevant master’s degree is an advantage.
• Proven experience in nursing leadership, hospital administration, or healthcare operations management.
• Valid professional nursing registration and relevant practicing credentials are required where applicable to nursing duties.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, clinical governance, patient safety, and quality management.
• Experience in hospital operations, workforce planning, budgeting, and resource management.
• Leadership, decision-making, communication, stakeholder management, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with hospital information systems, electronic medical records, and healthcare reporting tools.
• Ability to manage complex operational issues and make decisions under pressure; professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and patient-centered care.
• Good command of written and spoken English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Experience in healthcare accreditation, quality improvement, and risk management is an advantage.
