Position overview

Patient care and procedures

• Provide compassionate nursing care and assess patients; document medical information accurately.
• Prepare patients for laboratory, diagnostic, and clinical procedures and assist clinicians during examinations.
• Perform vital-sign monitoring, venipuncture, specimen collection, injections, and other procedures within scope of practice.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures and report concerns promptly.
• Educate patients on procedures, preparation, and aftercare.

Records, safety and compliance

• Handle, label, and transport specimens according to laboratory protocols; maintain complete patient and nursing records.
• Follow infection-control, hygiene, patient-safety, and medical-waste disposal procedures; protect patient confidentiality.
• Comply with DOH regulations, organizational policies, and quality standards; take part in quality improvement, audits, training, and departmental activities.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution.
• Valid DOH Nursing License is mandatory.
• At least 2 years of relevant nursing experience; diagnostic, laboratory, outpatient clinic, hospital, or similar experience is preferred.
• Phlebotomy, specimen collection, IV cannulation, and patient preparation experience are advantageous.
• Strong infection-control and patient-safety knowledge; good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good English communication skills; Arabic is advantageous.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records and basic computer applications; professional, compassionate, detail-oriented, patient-focused approach.
