**Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Nursing Assistant role based in Jeddah.

The Nursing Assistant supports registered nurses and physicians by assisting with basic patient care, including vital signs measurement, hygiene, mobility support, and comfort measures.

Daily responsibilities include preparing patient rooms, maintaining a clean and safe environment, helping with feeding and toileting, and promptly responding to patient calls.

The role also involves accurate documentation of care activities, reporting changes in patient condition, and assisting with simple clinical procedures under supervision.

The Nursing Assistant collaborates closely with the healthcare team, follows established protocols, and upholds high standards of safety, confidentiality, and respect for all patients.

Qualifications

  • Formal training or certification as a Nursing Assistant, Healthcare Assistant, or equivalent; completion of a recognized nursing assistant course is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in basic patient care activities, including hygiene, mobility assistance, feeding, and vital signs monitoring in a clinical or long-term care setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Ability to follow clinical instructions, adhere to safety and infection control protocols, and accurately document care activities.
  • High level of empathy, patience, cultural sensitivity, and a respectful, gender-neutral approach to patient care.
  • Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including assisting with patient transfers and prolonged standing or walking.
  • Basic computer literacy for electronic health records and familiarity with standard hospital procedures; previous experience in a hospital or clinic in Saudi Arabia is an advantage.
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by patient care needs; commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.**
