Role Overview
Perurides is looking for a skilled and detail-driven Non-Performing Loan (NPL) Accountant to join our finance team in Doha. This role is pivotal in overseeing impaired loan portfolios, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting strategic recovery initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance financial performance and mitigate risk exposure.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the non-performing loan portfolio, ensuring proper classification and tracking
• Prepare and analyze financial reports related to NPLs, provisions, and recoveries
• Apply IFRS 9 standards to assess impairment and calculate expected credit losses
• Collaborate with legal, collections, and risk departments to monitor recovery actions
• Maintain accurate accounting records and perform regular reconciliations of NPL accounts
• Support internal and external audits with comprehensive documentation and analysis
• Identify trends and recommend strategies to improve recovery rates and reduce financial risk

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is an advantage
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in banking, financial services, or loan accounting
• Strong knowledge of IFRS 9 and credit risk/loan impairment frameworks
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
