The Network / Systems Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network infrastructure and IT systems for company clients.
The role ensures stable, secure, and efficient operation of network devices, servers, and end-user systems.
Network Support
Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
Monitor LAN/WAN network performance and resolve connectivity issues.
Troubleshoot network outages and hardware faults.
Support VPN and remote access configurations.
Systems Administration
Install and maintain Windows/Linux servers.
Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file-sharing services.
Perform system backups and recovery procedures.
Apply system patches, updates, and security configurations.
Technical Support
Provide Level 1 & Level 2 technical support to end users.
Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
Set up and configure desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
Document incidents, solutions, and IT procedures.
Security & Maintenance
Monitor firewall and antivirus systems.
Implement cybersecurity best practices.
Assist in IT audits and compliance checks.
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
2–5 years of experience in networking or system administration.
Knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VLAN, routing & switching.
Experience with Windows Server, Microsoft 365, or Linux systems.
Certifications such as CCNA, MCSA, or CompTIA Network+ (preferred).
