Role
L3 switching, routing, and security engineering role requiring 10–15 years of experience.
Full-time, permanent position in Engineering – Hardware & Networks.
Education and experience
- 10–15 years of experience is specified for the L3 role.
- Science graduate in IT/computer science or relevant experience; BE/B.Tech, MCA, diploma, or science graduates are accepted.
Network engineering and delivery
- Serve as escalation point for Help Desk and Level 2 engineers and as a network and security infrastructure SME.
- Design secure network architectures and LAN, WAN, and VPN requirements for data centers and branches.
- Manage complex network environments and configure Layer 2 and Layer 3 routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Implement and troubleshoot BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, WAN optimization, QoS, and traffic shaping.
- Manage projects from planning and design through implementation, testing, and handover; participate in functional design reviews.
- Create Basis of Design, SOW, HLD, LLD, implementation plans, configurations, diagrams, and procedures.
Security and operations
- Implement firewalls, IPS, VPNs, SSL offload, DDoS protection, device hardening, and other security controls.
- Own incident, change, and problem management, including root-cause analysis and issue resolution.
- Identify and mitigate threats, address OEM/CERT/SOC and audit vulnerabilities, and close audit findings with evidence.
- Verify changes, enforce security policies, support branch security design, and assist with deployments and hardware configuration.
- Provide 24x7 support for critical network operations and work with OEM technical teams on advanced issues.
- Configure TACACS, RADIUS, AAA, privilege-based access, password encryption, and secure terminal access.
Product knowledge
- Aruba Central; Aruba CX, AOS, and Comware switches; Aruba WLAN gateways and access points.
- Juniper routers, switches, Mist access points, and SRX firewalls; ClearPass Policy Manager.
- FortiGate, Palo Alto, and Check Point firewalls.
Certifications
- Any listed certification or equivalent: Cisco CCNP Enterprise; Juniper JNCIP-ENT or JNCIP-MistAI; Aruba ACP or ACSP; PCNSE; Aruba Certified ClearPass Professional.
