Role Overview
The Network & Infrastructure Engineer designs, implements, configures, operates, monitors, maintains, and troubleshoots company, client, and project network and IT infrastructure.
The role supports enterprise networks, firewalls, servers, virtualization, storage, backup and disaster recovery, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity controls, and monitoring across on-premises, cloud, and project environments.
The engineer works with IT, Cybersecurity, Cloud, Application, and Project Delivery teams to support secure, reliable, scalable, highly available environments aligned with business and project needs.
The position supports planning and deployment of Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments, operational readiness, infrastructure documentation, and disaster recovery.

Position summary

The position supports planning and deployment of Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments, operational readiness, infrastructure documentation, and disaster recovery.
Network infrastructure
- Design, implement, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, switches, routers, wireless access points, and related devices.
- Manage VLANs, trunking, STP, routing, IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP services.
- Monitor network performance, availability, capacity, and utilization; troubleshoot connectivity, performance, and configuration issues.
- Perform network upgrades, expansions, and technology refreshes; maintain diagrams, IP documentation, configuration records, and procedures.
- Support wired and wireless infrastructure and ensure alignment with approved security and architecture standards.
Firewall and network security
- Configure and administer next-generation firewalls and maintain firewall policies, NAT, VPNs, security rules, and access controls.
- Support IPS/IDS, network segmentation, DMZ, secure remote access, and secure IT/OT connectivity where required.
- Review network security configurations and work with cybersecurity teams on alerts and vulnerabilities.
- Support security hardening and compliance requirements.
Servers and virtualization
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux servers; perform RAID configuration, OS installation, and readiness checks.
- Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, IIS, and related infrastructure services.
- Perform server patching, updates, hardening, configuration management, monitoring, migrations, and upgrades.
- Configure and maintain Microsoft Hyper-V and/or VMware; provision, configure, migrate, and manage virtual machines.
- Support high availability, fault tolerance, storage integration, capacity planning, and resource optimization.
Storage, backup, and disaster recovery
- Maintain and monitor storage infrastructure and related services; configure and monitor backup and recovery solutions.
- Verify backups, conduct periodic restore tests, and support replication and redundancy.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, execution, and recovery activities during incidents.
- Maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery documentation and support business continuity.
Cloud and IT operations
- Support deployment and administration of infrastructure on GCP, Azure, and/or AWS.
- Configure cloud networking, compute, storage, security, and connectivity services, including hybrid on-premises connections.
- Monitor cloud performance, availability, and resource utilization; support backup, redundancy, disaster recovery, migration, and optimization.
- Monitor infrastructure health and availability and use infrastructure and network monitoring tools to identify issues proactively.
Requirements
- Ability to design, implement, configure, operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot network and IT infrastructure.
- Knowledge of enterprise networks, firewalls, servers, virtualization, storage, backup and disaster recovery, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity controls, and monitoring.
- Ability to support network and infrastructure environments across on-premises, cloud, and project settings.
- Ability to work with IT, Cybersecurity, Cloud, Application, and Project Delivery teams.
