Network Engineer
Role Overview
Responsible for the implementation, administration, maintenance, and ongoing support of the organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), telecommunications, and related network infrastructure services.
Supports the availability, performance, security, and resiliency of network services through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Performs work under minimal supervision and serves as a technical resource for enterprise network operations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in information technology, computer science, networking, or related field; and typically five (5) or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Network and/or security certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are preferred.
- COMPETENCY and/or SKILL:
- Comprehensive knowledge of enterprise networking concepts and operations, including routing, switching, WAN technologies, VPNs, firewall concepts, and network security fundamentals.
- Strong working knowledge of networking hardware and software such as Cisco UCS, Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching, firewalls, Citrix NetScaler, MPLS/SD-WAN, and related network technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network and telecommunications issues.
- Strong understanding of network monitoring, performance analysis, and capacity management practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities while supporting enterprise network services.
- Ability to document and follow technical procedures, standards, and operational processes.
- Ability to work remotely to resolve issues and coordinate with multiple locations, including international sites, as required.
- Ability to participate in 24x7 on-call support rotations.
- Strong analytical skills for network troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and issue resolution.
- Working knowledge of network monitoring tools, automation practices, and emerging AI-enabled operational technologies.
