Network Engineer

NBCUniversal’s Network Engineering group within the Operations & Technology organization has an opening for a Network Engineer based at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, NYC.

The engineer will work within a dedicated team of network and firewall engineers tasked with building reliable and scalable network infrastructure for NBCUniversal’s broadcast and media production facilities. The selected candidate will have experience in the configuration, deployment, and support of Cisco, Arista, and Palo Alto firewalls using vendor and internal automation and monitoring systems.

Good understanding of both Enterprise and Service Provider networking: OSPF, IS-IS, vPC, port-channeling, 10/40/100G optics, IPSEC, QoS, VLAN, Multicast MP-BGP, route-reflection, MPLS (IP and Segment Routing), Traffic Engineering, L3VPN, VRF

Ability to analyze network logging and other data sets to troubleshoot and isolate production and design problems.

Experience with network automation and version control tools such as Ansible and Git to deploy networks at scale

Additional Requirements:

Hybrid : This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
