Overview

Job Title: Network Engineer – Level 3 (L3) Department: Information Technology / Infrastructure

Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Experience Required: Minimum 10 years in enterprise networking

Job Summary

The L3 Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, optimizing, and maintaining the organization’s network infrastructure, including advanced routing, switching, wireless, and load balancing technologies.

This role handles complex (Tier-3) escalations, ensures high availability of network services, and leads major network transformation projects.

Core Networking

 Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise network architectures (LAN, WAN, MPLS, SD-WAN).

 Configure and manage routers and switches from Cisco, Aruba, and Juniper.

 Handle advanced troubleshooting and L3 escalations to ensure timely service restoration.  Manage routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) and advanced routing policies.

Wireless Networking

 Design and optimize WLAN coverage, performance, and security.

 Manage wireless controllers (WLC) and access points.

Load Balancing

 Deploy, configure, and manage enterprise load balancers (L4/L7).

 Manage Application Delivery Controllers (ADCs) such as:

O A10 Thunder Adc

o Citrix NetScaler

 Implement traffic distribution policies, SSL offloading, health checks, persistence, and high availability.

 Troubleshoot application delivery issues and optimize performance.

 Integrate load balancers with web servers, application servers, and cloud services.

Monitoring & Operations

 Monitor network health using SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix, and Wireshark.

 Implement changes following ITIL Change Management.

 Maintain detailed network documentation and configuration baselines.

Cloud & Security

 Support cloud connectivity (Azure/AWS) via VPN, ExpressRoute, or Direct Connect.

 Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications

 Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field.

 Master’s degree is an advantage.

Required Professional Certifications (Standard For L3 Level)

Core Networking Certifications (Mandatory)  Cisco CCNP Enterprise

 Cisco CCNP Routing & Switching (legacy)

 Aruba ACMP or ACSP

 Juniper JNCIS or JNCIP

 ITIL Foundation v4

Required Skills

 Strong expertise in enterprise routing, switching, and load balancing.

 Deep understanding of L4/L7 traffic flows and application delivery.

 Advanced packet analysis using Wireshark.

 Strong documentation and reporting skills.

 Excellent communication in English and Arabic.

 Ability to work under pressure and manage complex technical challenges.
