About This Role
L1 Responsibilities
Monitor network infrastructure using monitoring tools
Perform initial troubleshooting of LAN/WAN, routing, switching issues
Identify and escalate incidents as per defined processes
Handle ticketing system updates and SLA adherence
Basic configuration support for VLANs and VPN users
Maintain documentation of issues, resolutions, and configurations
L2 Responsibilities
Perform advanced troubleshooting of routing, switching, and network performance issues
Configure and support VLANs, VPNs, and firewall policies (basic to intermediate level)
Work on incident resolution, root cause analysis (RCA)
Support change requests and network upgrades
Handle firewall rule changes and troubleshooting
Collaborate with L3 teams/vendors for complex issues
Technical Skills Required
Good understanding of:
Routing & Switching (L2/L3 basics)
LAN/WAN environments
VLAN, VPN concepts
Exposure to:
Firewalls (Cisco / Fortinet / Palo Alto / Check Point)
Familiarity with:
Network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, etc.)
Experience
working with ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.
