Role overview

Core responsibilities

• Rack and unrack network devices, mount access points, and perform basic device configuration and troubleshooting.
• Install, test, clean, and troubleshoot fiber, copper, Ethernet, and power cabling; measure optical power and identify fiber faults.
• Use console or remote access to support devices and assist network and server teams with rack-and-stack and cable runs.
• Support installation and configuration of servers, storage, switches, routers, firewalls, access points, and other listed infrastructure.
• Perform maintenance, circuit migrations, break-fix diagnostics, component replacement, and RMA support.
• Label, patch, and asset-tag equipment; record ticket updates and coordinate attendance with stakeholders.
• Conduct site surveys, inspections, audits, maintenance, and vendor-meet services.

Tools and technical skills

• Fiber testing tools and methods include OTDR, LSPM, BER testing, OSA, VFL, traffic detectors, and MPO fiber testing.
• The role references servers, storage and backup devices, tape units, switches, SAN fabric switches, KVM units, UPS, HVAC, and power distribution units.
• Preferred technical knowledge includes TCP/IP, active directory, infrastructure hardware, backup and recovery, and ITIL environments.

Experience and qualifications

• Requires 5–8 years of data centre infrastructure, enterprise IT infrastructure, or equivalent experience.
• Requires 3 or more years of fiber cabling and testing experience, including OTDR, LSPM, BER, OSA, and low-voltage AC/DC systems.
• Accepts a computer science or related BSc, an associate degree, or an equivalent three-year college or technical-school qualification emphasizing electronics; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Lists CCNA, Network+, CCNP, CCDP, CCIE, or equivalent certification with fiber-testing certification.
• ITIL knowledge and experience in an ITIL environment are preferred.
• English language skills are needed.

Preferred experience and capabilities

• Preferred technical experience includes wired, wireless, and fiber network installation, maintenance, and testing; infrastructure hardware; and IMAC and break-fix work.
• Preferred project-management experience includes task queues, SLA/KPI governance, escalation, root-cause analysis, and vendor management.
• Customer communication, accurate documentation, analytical work, independence, collaboration, and focus on quality are listed.

Pay

• Pay is up to ₹1,500 per day.
