Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled Network Cabling Technician to support the installation, termination, testing, and organization of network cabling infrastructure, including data and voice cabling.
The role requires hands-on experience in structured cabling work across data centers, communication rooms, and other operational sites, while ensuring compliance with technical standards, safety requirements, and site procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform horizontal and vertical structured cabling installations.
- Install, organize, and manage network cables, including UTP, STP, and Fiber.
- Install, label, and arrange patch panels, network outlets, and racks.
- Test and inspect network cables using approved testing tools and equipment.
- Ensure proper cable routing, labeling, documentation, and site organization.
- Prepare technical reports related to cabling installation and documentation.
- Comply with occupational health, safety, and site standards.
- Support troubleshooting activities related to network cabling and connectivity.
- Provide professional support and excellent service to internal and external customers.
- Support cabling activities related to data centers, communication rooms, and operational sites.
Requirements
- Technical diploma, vocational certificate, or professional training in network cabling, telecommunications, or a related field.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in network cabling or telecommunications infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with structured cabling, UTP, STP, Fiber, patch panels, racks, and outlets.
- Good understanding of cabling standards and site safety requirements.
- Technical knowledge of electrical/network systems related to data centers and communication rooms.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prepare basic technical reports and documentation.
- Good communication skills and a customer service mindset.
