Job Title: Network and Security Engineer

**Reports To:** Head of Network and Security department

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Network and Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure and reliable network systems while providing expert support for operational needs.

Based in Abu Dhabi, this role focuses on safeguarding the organization’s network infrastructure, managing security solutions, and ensuring the integrity of systems against evolving cyber threats.

The ideal candidate must possess a strong background in both networking and cybersecurity, with proven experience in deploying and managing secure network environments.

Key Responsibilities

Configure, support, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and related network security infrastructure.
Work with Layer 2 and Layer 3 network technologies, including VLANs, trunking, routing, NAT, ACLs, and network segmentation.
Support site-to-site VPNs, remote access VPNs, IPsec configurations, and secure connectivity solutions.
Troubleshoot network, firewall, routing, switching, and VPN-related issues in customer environments.
Assist in the deployment and support of secure communication, encryption, PKI, and authentication-related solutions.
Participate in client site installations, testing, commissioning, and support activities.
Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including implementation notes, network diagrams, configurations, and support reports.
Escalate complex issues when required while maintaining proper follow-up and ownership.

Certifications

· CCNA, CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Security, or equivalent experience is mandatory.
Palo Alto, Cisco or other firewall vendor certifications.
Basic cybersecurity or information security certifications.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, or a related field.
Master’s degree in a relevant field is an advantage.
3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in network engineering, network security, or infrastructure support.
Strong understanding of routing and switching fundamentals.
Practical experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN solutions.
Good knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, NAT, ACLs, DHCP, DNS, routing, and firewall policies.
Understanding of routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.
Experience with IPsec VPNs, site-to-site VPNs, and remote access VPNs.
Deep understanding of encryption, PKI, certificates, authentication, and secure communication.
Ability to analyze logs, understand packet flow, and troubleshoot technical issues logically.
Experience with vendors such as Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Sophos, Juniper, Aruba, or similar technologies.
Good documentation and reporting skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Professional attitude when dealing with customers.

Work Environment and Availability

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE.
On-site availability with occasional remote work flexibility, as required.
On-call rotation for critical incidents and emergencies.
