Key Responsibilities
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot network and security infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Handle escalated incidents from L1 support and collaborate closely with L3 engineers for complex issues.
- Monitor network performance, ensure high availability, and proactively identify potential issues.
- Perform network optimization activities and implement performance and reliability improvements.
- Conduct security assessments, vulnerability analysis, and remediation actions.
- Implement and enforce network security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Utilize monitoring tools such as PRTG and SolarWinds to ensure system health and uptime.
- Prepare and maintain High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure secure and efficient operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in network and security engineering.
- Mandatory certifications: CCNA and Fortinet NSE 4.
- Hands-on experience with Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Cisco technologies.
- Strong knowledge of firewalls, proxies, WAN optimization, and load balancing.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting complex network and security issues.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and incident management skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
