This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for someone who can set technical direction, mentor engineers, and still enjoy building high-quality .NET services in a performance-driven environment.
If you’ve led teams and owned backend architecture in production (not just prototypes), this is a strong opportunity with real ownership and a modern engineering stack.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a .NET engineering team (technical direction, coaching, code reviews, delivery standards)
- Design and build scalable .NET applications and backend services
- Build and optimise REST APIs and integrations (Postman)
- Own architecture and design decisions across the SDLC (OOP/OOD, design patterns, SOLID)
- Identify bottlenecks, resolve defects, and drive systemic improvements
- Support production troubleshooting across multiple environments
- Improve engineering quality through testing, CI/CD, and code quality tooling (SonarQube)
- Core Technical Keywords (for search relevance) C#, .NET Framework / .NET, REST API, PostgreSQL, SQL optimisation, xUnit, NUnit, MSTest, Postman, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, SonarQube, Agile/Scrum, SDLC, Design Patterns, SOLID, OOP/OOD, Microservices (if applicable), CI/CD, performance tuning, debugging, code review, mentoring.
Requirements
- 9+ years of .NET development experience (backend-focused)
- Proven experience leading and mentoring engineers (Technical Lead / Lead Developer / Engineering Lead)
- Strong database skills: PostgreSQL (plus SQL Server/Oracle exposure is beneficial)
- Strong testing discipline using unit testing frameworks (xUnit/NUnit/MSTest)
- Experience with containerisation and modern deployment practices (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical delivery
Salary
Up to AED 30,000 - 35,000 per month depending on team leadership scope and hands-on coding depth.
