Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site NDT Technician role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The NDT Technician will perform non-destructive tests on materials, components, and structures using approved methods and equipment, ensuring results are accurate and compliant with relevant standards and client specifications.
Daily tasks include preparing inspection areas, setting up and calibrating equipment, conducting tests, interpreting indications, documenting findings, and preparing clear reports.
The role involves working closely with quality and engineering teams, following safety procedures, and maintaining equipment in good working condition.
The technician will also support continuous improvement initiatives and may assist in training or mentoring less experienced team members as needed.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong inspection skills, including practical experience with Eddy Current and Ultrasonics testing methods.
- Candidates should possess quality-focused skills, including Quality Control practices and thorough Inspection documentation and reporting.
- Candidates should possess asset integrity and corrosion-related skills, including understanding of Corrosion mechanisms and their impact on structures and equipment.
- Relevant NDT certifications (e.g., ASNT, PCN, ISO 9712) in applicable methods are highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of industry standards and codes (e.g., ASME, API, ISO) and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to work safely in industrial environments and at field sites.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a diverse workplace.
- Previous experience as an NDT Technician or in a similar inspection role, ideally within oil & gas, construction, or manufacturing sectors.
