Nde Assistant Job Description
The NDE Assistant will assist NDE Technicians in performing specific calibrations, specific Nondestructive Tests, and specific evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations.
The NDE Assistant will receive both on the job and classroom training and development to further their career as an NDE Technician.
Responsibilities
- Set up and utilize Nondestructive Test equipment
- Assist NDE Technicians in the calibration of NDT equipment
- Assist NDE Technicians conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDE methods of inspection
- Record results of inspections
- Assist Technicians in performing NDT procedures and other operations
- Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management
