Role Description
The Mulesoft Architect role is a contract, on-site position based in Dubai.
The individual in this role will design, develop, and govern integration architectures using Mulesoft, ensuring scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions across enterprise systems.
Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to define integration requirements, creating API-led connectivity designs, and overseeing implementation best practices.
The Mulesoft Architect will review technical deliverables, perform code and design reviews, guide integration developers, and troubleshoot complex integration issues.
The role also involves preparing documentation, establishing standards, optimizing performance, and supporting deployment and post-go-live stabilization activities.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Mulesoft (Anypoint Platform, API Manager, Runtime Manager) and API-led integration design, with the ability to architect enterprise-grade integration solutions.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful APIs, microservices, and integration patterns (synchronous/asynchronous, event-driven, messaging, ETL).
- Experience with core integration technologies such as XML/JSON, SOAP/REST, message queues, and data transformation/mapping tools.
- Solid understanding of security and governance, including authentication/authorization, OAuth, JWT, TLS, and API policies and standards.
- Background in enterprise systems integration, preferably with ERP, CRM, and other line-of-business systems common in large organizations.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD pipelines, version control, automated testing, deployment automation) for integration solutions.
- Ability to lead technical teams, provide architectural guidance, conduct code and design reviews, and mentor developers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into clear technical designs and documentation.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to work closely with business users, project managers, and cross-functional technical teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering
