Role Description

The MRO Sales Engineer – Valves & Actuators is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates.

This role is responsible for developing and managing maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) sales opportunities for valves and actuators, including identifying customer needs, preparing technical and commercial proposals, and supporting contract negotiations.

Day-to-day tasks include visiting client sites, conducting technical discussions, coordinating with internal engineering and service teams, and ensuring timely delivery of solutions and services.

The Sales Engineer will maintain accurate records of inquiries, quotations, and orders, monitor project progress, and provide after-sales support to build long-term customer relationships.

The role also involves market research, pipeline reporting, and contributing to sales strategies aligned with FLOVAL’s service offerings.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical knowledge of industrial valves, actuators, and related flow control equipment, including inspection, testing, refurbishment, and maintenance principles.
  • Experience in MRO sales or technical sales within oil & gas, power, petrochemical, or industrial sectors, with ability to interpret technical documentation and specifications.
  • Proficiency in creating technical and commercial proposals, estimating costs, and supporting negotiation of contracts and service agreements.
  • Solid communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with engineers, procurement teams, and operational leaders at client organizations.
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong relationship-building, problem-solving, and follow-up capabilities in a service-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work on-site and in the field, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline; relevant technical certifications in valves and actuators are an advantage.
  • Previous experience in the United Arab Emirates or GCC region, and familiarity with local industry standards and HSE practices, is preferred.
