Key Responsibilities
Design and develop cutting dies, plastic molds, and forming tools in accordance with production requirements.
Prepare and modify technical drawings using CAD/CAM software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
Manufacture, assemble, repair, and maintain molds and dies.
Operate and supervise conventional and non-conventional machining processes.
Conduct feasibility studies and provide technical estimations for new projects.
Select appropriate materials and components based on product and tooling requirements.
Read, interpret, and improve engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Coordinate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure tooling performance.
Troubleshoot mold and die issues and implement corrective actions.
Monitor tooling performance and recommend improvements using current manufacturing technologies.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company standards.
Support and guide junior technicians and shop-floor teams as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 5–10 years of experience in mold design and mold making, preferably in cutting dies, plastic molds, and forming tools.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office.
Strong knowledge of mold manufacturing operations and machining processes.
Familiarity with metallurgy and material selection.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
