Moderation Operations Lead

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Run human-based moderation operations across efficiency, accuracy, and cost.
• Manage moderation enforcement for product listings, creators, and content.
• Manage internal teams and remote BPO vendors against performance targets.
• Use operational data to improve governance policies and moderator tools.
• Build AI-based solutions for moderator training, coaching, and upskilling.
• Plan staffing and contingencies for seasonal and peak demand.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years in BPO vendor management.
• At least 2 years leading teams in a high-growth technology environment.
• Experience managing mid- to large-scale operational or technical teams.
• Understanding of AI concepts and applying them in daily operations.
• Ability to generate insights from data and conduct root cause analysis.
• Leadership ability in ambiguous, matrix environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in Moderation, Trust & Safety, or Risk Operations.
• Experience in highly regulated or audited environments.
• Knowledge of US e-commerce marketplaces, seller fraud, and consumer protection.
• Track record implementing automated workflows or LLM agents.
• Ability to build operational mechanisms in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

Compensation

• Base salary range is $111,467 to $206,172 annually in the selected city.
• Role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.
