The Role

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain native mobile apps (iOS with Swift/SwiftUI, Android with Kotlin/Compose)
• Own features end-to-end: from design handoff through implementation, testing, and release
• Work closely with backend engineers to integrate APIs and shape the product
• Implement complex flows: authentication (passkeys/WebAuthn), payments, wallet management, card issuance
• Optimise for performance: instant rendering, smart caching, smooth animations
• Contribute to architecture decisions and code quality standards
• Ship regularly and reliably under tight deadlines

• Take initiative without being asked. You don't wait for a ticket. You see something broken, you fix it. You spot a UX issue in the design, you raise it before it ships. You find a better way to do something, you propose it. You're always thinking one step ahead.
• Picks up context fast and runs with it. We move quickly. You'll get dropped into unfamiliar parts of the codebase, new APIs, new flows. You figure it out, ask the right questions, and start delivering. Not in a week, in a day.
• Delivers under pressure without dropping quality. Deadlines are real. You stay calm, you prioritise ruthlessly, and you ship. You don't cut corners on the things that matter: pixel-perfect UI, smooth animations, no jank. You know when good enough is good enough.
• Take pride in the details. You care about the 1px alignment issue. You care about the loading state that flashes for 200ms. You care about the pull-to-refresh feeling smooth. Users notice these things, and so do you.

Must Have

• 3–5+ years building native mobile apps shipped to production
• Strong in either iOS (Swift, SwiftUI) or Android (Kotlin, Jetpack Compose), ideally both
• Experience with MVVM architecture, dependency injection, and reactive state management
• Comfortable working with REST APIs, OpenAPI specs, and generated API clients
• Track record of delivering under pressure and hitting deadlines
• Self-starter who doesn't need hand-holding. You see a problem, you fix it
• Strong communicator who works well in a fast-paced, collaborative team
• Nice to Have
• Experience across both iOS and Android
• Familiarity with fintech, payments, or banking apps
• Exposure to crypto/blockchain concepts (wallets, tokens, transactions)
• Experience with WebAuthn/passkeys or biometric authentication
• Background in performance optimisation (caching strategies, lazy loading, skeleton states)
• Experience with CI/CD for mobile (Fastlane, Gradle pipelines, TestFlight)

Not Required

• No deep crypto/blockchain expertise needed. Willingness to learn is what matters.
