Mobile Developer (React Native)

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Design, build, release, and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native and TypeScript.
• Lead complex features through design, architecture, implementation, testing, release, and production support; design scalable architecture and reusable components.
• Build VoIP, calling, and mobile calling integrations; integrate APIs, authentication, third-party services, and backend platforms.
• Build reliable state management, offline, notification, and workflow capabilities; resolve performance, reliability, security, and scalability issues.
• Debug production issues across iOS and Android; develop automated tests and monitoring; contribute to CI/CD and mobile release processes.
• Conduct code reviews, establish engineering standards, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate across product and engineering teams.
• Use AI-assisted tools to improve development workflows while reviewing, testing, securing, and validating generated code.

Required qualifications

• 5–8 years of software development experience, including at least 3 years of hands-on React Native experience.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and cross-platform mobile development.
• Hands-on experience with production VoIP or calling features or mobile calling integrations on iOS and Android.
• Experience with scalable mobile architecture, reusable component libraries, and releasing and maintaining apps for iOS and Android.
• Strong knowledge of REST/GraphQL APIs, authentication, state management, offline support, push notifications, and third-party integrations.
• Experience with performance optimization, security, automated testing, monitoring, and production debugging.
• Good understanding of Xcode, Android Studio, native build systems, Git, and CI/CD.
• Ability to lead complex features independently, conduct code reviews, establish standards, and mentor junior engineers.
• Experience using AI coding tools responsibly and exercising sound technical judgment.

Additional skills

• Swift, Kotlin, or native-module development is good to have.
• Expo, Firebase, Sentry, Crashlytics, analytics, feature flags, and React Native New Architecture, Fabric, or TurboModules are good to have.
• Experience integrating AI, LLM, voice, recommendation, or generative features into mobile apps is good to have.
• Experience leading technical initiatives or supporting mobile-platform modernization is good to have.
