Work with Product, Design, Backend, QA, and Engineering teams to build scalable, reliable, high-performance mobile experiences.
Key responsibilities
- Own architecture and development of Flutter apps for iOS and Android; design scalable, maintainable, testable systems.
- Drive technical decisions across Flutter, Dart, state management, networking, persistence, security, and performance.
- Lead complex features from concept to production; establish coding standards, best practices, and design patterns.
- Conduct architecture and code reviews; address performance, stability, scalability, and technical debt.
- Work with Product and Design to translate requirements; collaborate with backend engineers on APIs, data models, and integration patterns.
- Establish CI/CD, automated testing, release management, and observability practices.
- Mentor senior engineers; evaluate technologies; own production issues and root-cause analysis; contribute to engineering strategy and roadmap.
Required experience
- 8–12 years of software engineering experience, including significant mobile development experience.
- 4+ years of hands-on Flutter and Dart experience; production-grade apps built and scaled for Android and iOS.
- Strong Flutter knowledge, including architecture, widget lifecycle, rendering, navigation, and performance optimization.
- Expertise with Bloc/Cubit, Provider, Riverpod, or equivalent state management; Clean Architecture, MVVM, or similar patterns.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, authentication, third-party integration, storage, databases, and offline-first or resilient design.
- Understanding of asynchronous programming, concurrency, and Dart isolates.
- Experience with unit, widget, integration, and end-to-end testing; Git, CI/CD, automated builds, and mobile release pipelines.
- Strong understanding of Android/iOS lifecycle, production troubleshooting, secure mobile development, and architecture ownership.
- Ability to lead technical initiatives, make pragmatic architecture decisions, influence practices, solve system-design problems, communicate with stakeholders, and mentor senior engineers.
Good to have
- Native Android/Kotlin or iOS/Swift development; Firebase, Crashlytics, analytics, push notifications, deep linking, or remote configuration.
- AWS, GCP, modular Flutter apps, monorepo architectures, performance monitoring, observability tools, or experience at significant scale.
- Open-source contributions or a strong technical portfolio.
Education
- A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline is preferred; equivalent practical experience is considered.
