Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Solar Technical Specialist to support the design, installation, maintenance, and performance analysis of solar energy systems.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in photovoltaic (PV) systems and demonstrate hands-on experience with solar project execution and technical troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
- :
- Conduct technical site assessments and feasibility studies for solar installations.
- Design PV systems using software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, PVSyst, Helioscope).
- Prepare technical documentation, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and system specifications.
- Evaluate system performance and recommend optimization strategies.
- Support installation teams with technical guidance during commissioning and testing.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and coordinate maintenance activities.
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards, codes, and emerging technologies.
- Assist in vendor evaluation and product selection for solar components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, procurement, and project management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in the solar industry, preferably in a technical role.
- Knowledge of solar design tools (e.g., PVSyst, AutoCAD, SketchUp, PV*Sol).
- Familiarity with NEC codes and local regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel to project sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- :
- NABCEP Certification or equivalent.
- Experience with energy storage systems (ESS) and hybrid solar setups.
- Familiarity with SCADA systems and remote monitoring tools.
- Proficiency in data analysis and system performance reporting.
