Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain underground mine schedules aligned with long-term plans and business objectives.
• Monitor schedule performance and adapt plans to changing priorities and operational constraints.
• Identify bottlenecks and create practical solutions with stakeholders for safe, efficient production.
• Facilitate weekly planning and scheduling meetings.
• Coordinate operations, maintenance, planning, and technical services teams to execute schedules.
• Identify and escalate scheduling risks, constraints, and opportunities.
• Improve scheduling practices, operational efficiency, and mine performance.

Candidate requirements

• Hold mining engineering qualifications or a related qualification, or have significant operational mining experience.
• Have underground hard rock mining experience with exposure to scheduling or mine planning.
• Understand underground production, development, rehabilitation, mine services, sub-level open stoping, and ventilation networks.
• Be able to assess and communicate schedule risks, threats, and opportunities.
• Have stakeholder engagement skills and experience using Deswik Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Power BI, SAP, and production reporting platform exposure is advantageous.
• Previous scheduling experience is highly regarded, but candidates with strong operational experience and willingness to learn are encouraged.

Roster

• Work on an 8/6 FIFO roster.

Work location

• The role is based at Prominent Hill, flying from Adelaide or regional South Australia.
