Accountabilities
Provide engineering services including mine layout and design, ground control and surveying, map preparation, drafting, gas well permitting, bid package preparation, and other related duties.
Oversee environmental compliance -- provide data for WVDEP permits, perform compliance reviews, and provide engineering services for reclamation and construction projects.
Participate in the preparation of annual budget by providing tonnages, quality, capital expenditure and plant sourcing information.
Requirements
- BS Mining or Civil Engineering 5 Years Surface Mining Experience Preferred.
- Possess excellent computer, communication and writing skills.
- Previous experience in drafting, surveying, geology, construction, permitting and State and Federal regulations.
- Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, AutoCad and SurvCadd.
- Prior experience supervising hourly employees a plus.
Certifications/Licenses
WV Underground Miner’s Certification. PE preferred.
